Project Role: Creative Director, 3D Artist & 2D Motion Designer

This personal spec project was an exploration of Unreal Engine’s capabilities in sports visuals, focusing on real-time rendering and animation workflows. I combined Cinema 4D and Unreal Engine to test how animations function in a real-time environment while experimenting with lighting, materials, and rendering techniques.

Challenges & Solutions

One of the biggest challenges was learning Unreal Engine’s real-time rendering process, particularly material creation, lighting adjustments, and performance optimization. Since this was a learning-driven project, I encountered challenges along the way but approached each problem as an opportunity to refine my skills.

Through experimentation and troubleshooting, I developed a better understanding of Unreal Engine’s animation system, successfully completing this spec project while expanding my expertise in real-time sports motion design.
