Project Role: Creative Director & 3D Artist

This project was a personal spec project designed to explore Unreal Engine’s capabilities with cars while experimenting with different rendering techniques. Instead of using a real-time renderer, I opted for path tracing to achieve a higher level of realism.

Challenges & Solutions

One of the biggest challenges was understanding how simulations work within Unreal Engine. I experimented with importing VDB simulations from Cinema 4D into Unreal, learning how to integrate complex volumetric effects into the scene.

Another challenge was building a large-scale environment while optimizing performance and maintaining a high visual standard. This project provided valuable insights into environment creation, lighting, and Unreal Engine’s rendering pipeline, further expanding my expertise in real-time and cinematic workflows.
