Project Role: Creative Director & 3D Artist

For this project, I served as both the Creative Director and 3D Artist, handling all aspects of the 3D work from concept to final execution. My role encompassed everything from creative direction to bringing the product to life in CGI.

The process began with taking the helmet’s engineering file and developing high-quality textures and materials to create photorealistic renders. One of the biggest challenges was building a fully 3D room environment that seamlessly matched the live-action set. The client required a 1:1 replica to ensure a flawless transition between real-world footage and CGI. I successfully recreated the entire environment in 3D, achieving a seamless blend between live-action and digital elements.

Breakdown

I created a light GOBO in Cinema 4D using cloners and fields to precisely control the vertex color map, allowing for dynamic and customizable lighting effects.

I built the entire room in 3D and utilized the light GOBO to generate an HDRI, ensuring realistic lighting and reflections for seamless integration with the scene.
